Social Revolucion

This year we´ve joined forces with the Social Revolución, the official Latino event at the SXSW Interactive Festival.

The Social Revolución is an interactive movement of Latinos using social media to create change. Last year, they had over 140 nominees from the U.S. and Latin America, some of the winners included Calle 13, Maria Teresa Kumar-Voto Latino, Lalo Alcaraz-Pocho.com and our bloggers like you were instrumental in helping to recognize these amazing Latinos!

We’re excited to be joining this social media movement in 2013 as Allies amongst the likes Being Latino, The News Taco, SpanglishBaby, Latino Rebels, Latina Lista and Mas Wired.

The Social Revolución is dedicated to highlighting visionaries and change-makers in the online comunidad. With so many inspiring Social Revolucionarios, they felt there was a need to recognize and celebrate some of these individuals through the Revolucionario Awards.

So how do you define an award-winning Revolucionario? They can be an individual, group, organization, or brand with the ganas to inspire change online and off.

Nominations for the Revolucionario Awards fall under three categories:

+ The New Americano

+ The Mobilizer

+ El Innovator

Are you one of those? Do you know someone who deserves to be recognized as such?

¡No esperes más! Click here and nominate them now. You can see a full list of current nominees here.
