DSC04092Brenda Storch from La Vitamina T said goodbye to her beloved home in Mexico a few years ago. Feeling homesick she would often turn to her pictures and recipes to remind her of home.  One day it occurred to her, food was perhaps the best way to make her new world feel like home.

And this is how La Vitamina T was born.   La Vitamina T(Vitamin T) refers to tacos, tortas, tamales, tostadas and other carb-loaded delicacies.  In her blog, you can find your daily dose of Vitamin T. Here she shares recipes and unbiased findings and recommendations on local and not so local eateries, often served with a side of Latin America.

“Mexico like a rosary of images, sounds, flavors and colors that has become too heavy to carry around and too precious to trust to the mere shelves of memory,” Brenda

When did you start blogging? March 2012. For almost a year!

Why did you start blogging? Whenever I visit home, food is probably my favorite souvenir, but crossing countries with everything I want to bring is always impractical and at times, impossible. In my effort to feel close in the distance, I first brought pictures, then recipes. It finally occurred to me that food was perhaps the best way to make my new world feel like home. This is how, in a bout of homesickness, La Vitamina T was born. La Vitamina T touches on food as a lifestyle and as an element of cultural identity. My blog is not only an outlet to share, but also an opportunity to learn and to connect with like-minded individuals.
